We Can Campaign activities/End all forms of Violence Against Women

This was during the TOTtraining in Kasese for the We can campaign

Good Hope Foundation for Rural Development works in 4districts of Rwenzori region in Uganda that is Kasese , Bundibugyo,Ntoroko and Rubirizi.

Good Hope Foundation has been engaged in prevention of violence against women and girls with support from HIVOS, OXFAM GB and ACORD -Uganda.

The campaign against sexual violence on children and domestic violence prevention in the region has contributed immensely in encouraging other institutions to join the social movement on prevention of violence against women and girls which is now a Global Campaign ,WE CAN CAMPAIGN (End all violence against women) that uses the change makers approach .Currently the total number of Change makers recruited Male=3320   Female=2931  Total =6251 that is for Rwenzori region where Good Hope Foundation is the lead agency.

This is done through a collective effort of public and private institutions and individuals by publicly denouncing that Violence Against Women is a critical social issue and thus commit to become change makers (sign change maker forms) and promise to reach out to at least ten (10) more people on the need to prevent domestic violence under the goal of reducing the social tolerance and acceptance of domestic violence and other forms of Violence Against Women through a process of social change.
